About & Mission
Founded in 2006 by Eryc Taylor, the Company's mission is to advance appreciation of dance and educate the public about dance by creating and presenting original performances, conducting master classes and workshops, and making grants to aspiring choreographers.
ETD Outreach specifically focuses on using dance as a tool to inspire, heal, and build communities for populations who might not otherwise have access to movement programs. ETD Outreach is mobile; meeting those in need of outreach services at the locations where those in need are.
Since its founding, ETD has produced annual performances showcasing works by Taylor as well young new choreographers, provided summer classes to aspiring dancers, and conducted dance and movement therapy programs for challenged adults and youth.

Eryc Taylor
Taylor received his BFA in Dance from the University of the Arts/Philadelphia and his MFA in Dance from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Afterwards, he studied at the London Contemporary Dance School and at the Centre de Danse du Marais in Paris. Taylor continued his training with several major scholarships including a residency at Jacob's Pillow. In addition, he spent two years with the Cunningham Dance Repertory Group. Taylor has performed works by Merce Cunningham, Mark Dendy, Group Motion, Paul Taylor, Milton Meyers, Sean Curran and Gus Solomons Jr. and has collaborated with artists such as Frieda Abtan, Todd Yeager, Laura Peterson, Jason Levine, Scooter LaForge, Mark Beard, and Gerald Busby. Taylor's choreography has been presented worldwide and he is known for producing sight specific dance installations. He has produced summer dance festivals in Martha's Vineyard called, "Dance Martha Dance!" His work has also appeared at Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors, Joyce Soho, The Second Avenue Dance Theater, NYU, Dance Theater Workshop, Dance New Amsterdam's APAP festival, Joe's Pub at The Public Theater, NYC, New York Live Arts, Armando Manzanero Teatro (Merida, Mexico), Martha Graham Studio Theater and Teatro José Peón Contreras (Mérida, Mexico).
As the Artistic Director of Eryc Taylor Dance and ETD Outreach, he is curating community outreach programs in addition to performances and international tours. ETD Outreach currently has weekly residencies with The Acacia Network, Odyssey House, PGCMH (Post Graduate Center for Mental Health), Lantern, and NYU Langone. Also through ETD Outreach, he gives out three annual New Choreography Grants (ETD/NCG).
Collaborations

Outreach & Programs
ETD Outreach specifically focuses on using dance as a tool to inspire, heal, and build communities for populations who might not otherwise have access to movement programs. ETD Outreach is mobile; meeting those in need of outreach services at the locations where those in need are.
Dance & Movement Workshops
In 2013, Eryc Taylor Dance began a residency program at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, offering one "Movement Expressions" workshop each week. Due to positive results, PCMH turned the residency into a permanently scheduled program, seven workshops a week at seven different residences. Since then, ETD Outreach has expanded into numerous supportive housing & wellness organizations throughout the five boroughs including:

New Choreographer Grant
Every year, Eryc Taylor Dance gives out three grants to young, aspiring NYC-based choreographers. Eryc works with each of them and guides them through the process of creating a new piece.
A works-in-progress showing is hosted by ETD for the grant recipients after three months.
